Week 1–2 Workspace, Shapes & Pen Tool

Topics: Interface overview, artboards, basic shapes, pen tool, anchor editing, pathfinder

Project: Create 5 geometric logo marks using only shapes

Week 3–4 Colour, Typography & Brand Basics

Topics: Colour modes, swatches, global colours, font licensing, text tool, text on path, type hierarchy

Project: Design a complete colour palette and type specimen for a fictional brand

Week 5–6 Logo Design & Identity Systems

Topics: Logo construction, golden ratio, negative space, brand mark refinement, creating brand guidelines

Project: Design a full logo suite (primary, secondary, icon) for a real brief

Week 7–8 Illustration & Icon Design

Topics: Character illustration workflow, icon grid system, 24px/48px icon sets, infographic layout

Project: Create a 20-icon set and one editorial illustration

Week 9–10 Advanced Techniques & Patterns

Topics: Gradient mesh, blend tool, scatter brush, pattern swatch creation, 3D effects

Project: Design a decorative poster using advanced illustration techniques

Week 11–12 Export, Packaging & Portfolio

Topics: SVG optimisation, print PDF export, asset packaging, portfolio assembly, client handoff

Project: Finalise and present 6-piece portfolio to panel

Course Requirements

System Requirements

Windows 10/11 or macOS 11+, min 8 GB RAM. Adobe Illustrator 2024 installed.

Prerequisites

Basic computer skills. CorelDraw or Photoshop background helpful but not required.

Eligibility

Age 16+, 10th pass minimum.

Time Commitment

32 classroom hours + 32 hours self-practice per month.
